Am I reading that correctly?

It looks like the 3rd number might be a 1, its just that it's so close, it made it look like a 2.

You ALWAYS read from RIGHT to LEFT so you don't "jump ahead" a number which can be quite significant. In the period between snaps shots your meter is reading 68 units or kWh.

Incorrect.

The second to last dial on the second position is actually an 8 not a 9. It will be a 9 when the pointer to the right passes zero.

68 would be a great number, still a bit high imo but much less then the average 115 a day we ran last bill. I have unplugged 2 of the first floor AC units completely, and am just running the AC unit upstairs, and its been cooling the house quite well with the ambient temp being in 80s during the day.

I am going to continue the experiment till tmw night since

Tomorrow my mom runs the wash/irons..ect so that would be a much more active day then today, then I can calculate on avg what the electric bill can be.

holy moly....what are you trying to accomplish? You may want to buy a killawatt meter if you are going this gungho. It will give you an instant reading of consumption.

the tens digit cannot be a 0 because it has not passed to the left of the 0.

And since the tens digit is so close to the 0, the hundreds digit is probably a 2, because if it was a 3, it should be much closer to 4.

ok leaving 2 AC units off resulted in a 34% Energy Savings!! estimated vs last month.

But we had a problem with one subdivided room with a desktop in it. The desktop would heat up the room and ceiling fan was useless. Need to find a more energy efficient way in cooling that room.

ceiling fans don't truly cool the room, the lower the perceived temp. If room is closed up with a desktop alone in it (especially with a CRT) it's going to act like a heater.

We are going into the cooler months so you aren't really going to get worst case scenario models for a baseline electric bill.
