Metallica & Lou Reed

Had this come out a few years ago there would have been a thread weeks in advance of fanboys anticipating sheer awesomeness, but nothing now. :hmm:

I heard a track on YouTube and thought it was a joke or some 13 year old doing a really bad mash up.

And I thought Metallica did a bad ass job on Death Magnetic. They should of ended on a good note. Sometimes they just don't know when to hang it up

It's physically painful to listen to Death Magnetic. Have you seen how compressed those songs are?

I've heard a couple tracks online and it's one of the worst things I've heard... ever. This isn't typical internet overblowing saying it's the worst thing ever, it seriously sounds disgusting. I think Metallica are trolling everybody. Nobody would seriously put out this garbage and have the stones to ask money for it.

From Wiki
Pitchfork Media critic Stuart Bermaa signed the album a rare 1.0 rating, writitng "for all the hilarity that ought to ensue here, Lulu is a frustratingly noble failure. Audacious to the extreme, but exhaustingly tedious as a result, its few interesting ideas are stretched out beyond the point of utility and pounded into submission."[17] Essayist and pop culture writer Chuck Klosterman, in his review of the album for the website Grantland, wrote, "If the Red Hot Chili Peppers acoustically covered the 12 worst Primus songs for Starbucks, it would still be (slightly) better than this."

LMFAO!!!!!

If you check torrent sites, you can find people have uploaded the Guitar Hero version of Death Magnetic, and it's a different master. Much less compression, much better sound.
