Are these the same thing?

 

No they are not, metallic actually has metal flake mixed with the paint, Pearl used to have real ground up pearls in it, now they use ground up plastic.

No, IIRC metallic paint has just metal flakes in it, pearl paint has metal flakes and something more........

 

Metallic will appear more mirror like while paerl will have a deep reflective shine.

Alright, how about percentage wise? I.e. pearl 20-30% more than regular, metallic 40-50% more, etc.
