Story here about MS flight simulator. Only makes sense, seeing how they want the game to be "realistic", and since the skyline is now altered, they would have to alter the game.

And I'll add that a friend that works at Office Max told me that they had an HP demo printer that printed pages of a plane flying between the towers. On Tuesday, they got a fax from corporate telling them to remove that printer.

well you may want to change your title to include this, would certainly get a much larger response...

konami is considering cancelling metal gear solid 2, or maybe just keep it in japan. the game is set in new york with terrorists and lots of monuments get blown up etc. pretty much the whole game would have to be scrapped to exclude that stuff.

also duke nukem forever features several levels in nyc in which a lot stuff is destoryed.

both companies are looking at what they will have to do but havent decided yet.

retailers have been told to pull command and conquer 2: red alert since the cover shows the wtc being blown up.

What's with the quick removal of the WTC in movies and games? Are people going to be offended or something? I know i wouldn't be offended... sad maybe.

Well, the "powers that be" that think they know what is best for everyone have probably decided it is too much for everyone to handle. It seems that is ok to see the planes fly into them over and over and over ad nuseum rather them see them in their former glory

btw my info was taken from bluesnews.com go check the ps2 boards and ign.com and there is a serious potential for the game to be at least delayed in the us for quite a long time, if not cancelled. november or whenever would likely be way too soon for this game to come out. dnf on the otherhand, they will probably change the location and do new artwork.
