Well, above our parking garage is a nice GYM. Apparently Doug Flutie now attends that gym. I met him as I was leaving for lunch.........kinda cool I guess. Wow, how skinny he looks now.....if it wasn't for his face, I wouldnt have even known it was him, much less an ex NFL QB.

**Name fixed, feeling like an idiot right about now**

He came to a few of my hockey games when I used to play on the same team as his nephew Billy Flutie (now a freshman QB/K @ his uncle's alma mater Boston College) in Natick, MA. He would play in an adult league in the offseason at the same rink too.
Great dude.

The man needs to be elected to the Hall of Fame too. If there is anyone more deserving for his complete body of work, passion for the game, spirit, and legacy it is Doug Flutie.

awesome guy, great athlete, accomplished person... but man, he is sooo much smaller than you'd ever expect for an nfl QB... how he could've survived 300lbs linemen hitting him is beyond me :)

*cough cough* ex CFL QB ;)

i'm quite sure he played in the nfl too...

I know, but he was better known as a CFL player than an NFL one.

Let us not forget that he was a Heisman Trophy winner and was part of one of the top plays in the history of football with his hail mary to beat Miami, and left the NCAA its alltime leading passer.

I do not personally know him or had any deep conversations with him. He would attend many of the hockey games for his hometown youth team that his nephew and I played on. When we lost the state championship game, he came into the lockerroom filled with crying 12 year olds and really made us feel good for making it so far. Class act who genuinely fits the cliche of "regular guy who wears old jeans and doesn't walk around like a big shot."

i've met and spoke with him and came away with "meh'. my brother is much more in the sports world and said he is a tool.

thats all besides the point though, as the criteria for the hall of fame is more than talking to 12 year old kids after they lost.

btw, i coached a bunch of kids from first year pee-wees through bantams. we lost some really tough games but i never saw a locker room full of kids crying.
