I kept questioning and reminding them (it came up in a discussion with this person I was assigned to do a project with in a class), and they just shrugged and said they were never one to watch the news.

I really believe they were serious too.. . . .

And when you meet someone fro mteh Middle East, they will tell you the Holocaust is a bunch of lies orchestrated by Jews and the United States.

And this did happen to a co-worker in her past. Some guy was convinced it's a conspiracy. And she had to say no, it realyl hapepned, etc, etc. He was some guy from one of those countries where the media is controlled by the gov't.

Serious reponse.

My sister-in-law in California had no clue anything happened till her mom called her about 12 hours after the fact!

And when I was in college, I was totaly clueless to world events. No time to care and simply did not care. To many other things in life are more important.

Operator?...could you please repeat that? Somewhere in this story something went wrong.
That is absolutely impossible unless this 27 year old was in a coma, and no one bothered to fill him in. SHENS.

yes I have been to both Auschwitz and Dachau. from a physical standpoint you can see the chamber, the gates, the arbeit macht frei signs at auschwitz, and the memorial with the words "never again" written in several languages at dachau, not to mention the little 20 minute movie they show about the camps..from an emotional standpoint, you could actually sense the death and atrocities that happened when it was running. i swear you could almost hear their souls screaming. i havent been there in about 5 years, but as a result i have not had anything to do with going to church or religion with the exception of 2 events. my mother's wedding, and my cousin's wedding. after seeing that i had no desire to have anything to do with worshipping a god that let things like that happen ever again
