Messing with 98 and 2k

I originally used 98se then I made the move to 2k. I have 2k installed on my 2nd HD currently lettered as D. Now I wanna reformat my other HD and only have roughly 2 gigs for 98se instead of the 15 that it is. How can I reinstall 98se so that I'll still have the boot up options during POST. And if I move this drive to master how can I fix the letters? Or is it better just to reinstall 98 to the same HD and keep it as C so that letters don't change?

Someone correct me if I am wrong. I think you can do it either way pick the setup you preffer and do it. After making desired changes boot to w2k cd and choose to fix current installation. You should install 98 again before fixing the 2000 or you will have to do it again.

i think you can go back in and edit the boot file after you reinstall 98 so it doesnt really matter. just gotta modify the boot sector

Win98SE does not have a boot menu, but to use WinNT's (2k's) when you install Win98 type "setup /ntldr" (w/o the quotes) and it will setup Win98 for you using the Win2k boot loader that is already there.

You should let Win98 have the first partition, it will always install some files there, and then it will much around your drive letters so that whichever drive you made your \windows folder on will become C:

Then you just get confused and have different drive letters for each OS...leave Win2k on D: and put Win98 on C:

Or you could be smart and just take Win98 off all toegher 😉 Win2k rocks win98se 😛
