Messing around with Firmware

I have a Kodak CX7300. Somebody told me a long time ago that there are custom firmwares available for it. I'd be really interested if such a thing existed. I especially think it would be cool to do long shutter exposures and stuff like that, and that's just a question of software more than hardware, really. Getting the raw images off of the camera without JPEG compression would be nice too.

I'd be very surprised to find something like that for what was a basic entry-level camera when it was new four years ago. I suppose it's possible, but quite a bit of searching on Google and various photography sites didn't turn up anything at all for me.
