Messenger Service

Think my computer is throwing up. I shut down my computer last night and this morning when I booted it, it did a disk check and fixed a few things, then booted into Windows. Messenger Service keeps crashing, it takes an inordinate amount of time to locate my drives using My Computers, and so far I have determined that AIM crashes every time I start it within the first 5 seconds (although its still usable if you ignore the error message).

I'm assuming my registry is fubar and I need to reinstall the OS.

Also, I have a Raid 0 Array, and for whatever reason, it's never been able to cold boot. Always gives a blue screen or nothing at all. On a reset, it works fine. Not sure if this is related, but I feel it is.

Any other ideas? If I have to reinstall OS, I'm just going to start ordering parts now for an upgrade I had planned for a few weeks (which I'll post in another topic).

Thanks,
Chad

The Messenger service crashes about every 5 minutes or so. Even though I have it disabled in services management, it still I guess keeps trying to restart itself resulting in a crash. My Computers will take about a minute to show my hard drives. Disk Management works fine though. I'm running Ad-aware and Norton, but I don't think it's a virus.

Okay, Norton AV does not work. The prograrm launches fine, but there's nothing in the actual menu's just whitespace.
