messenger service spam.

argh, over the past two days, i've suddenly been under attack by spammers using windows messenger service.

since this article says the spam goes through 135 first, if i forward 135 to some non-existent ip address on the local network, it should work, right?

we'll see.

anyone else getting hit by this?

yep, i get a few of these stupid messenger windows come up every day. its retarded and i dont even use msn messenger

this is the windows messenger system, the pop-up window you get when you use net send.

In the past two weeks ive started to get bombarded on both AIM and MSN Messenger. It really takes the fun out of using them. It is really pissing me off as well. But mine are in PM form, not like the pictures in the link. All from bogus accounts.

Yep, just got one for the first time a couple days ago. The service is now disabled.
