Messed up something with my router last night...

I got this wireless router a few weeks ago to connect my laptop wirelessly and my desktop via wire. Everything set up just fine and worked okay until I did something last night. I had my laptop (HP ZT3000) connected with both the wire and the wireless with the intent that the wired connection would take precedence and it would automatically switch to the wireless when the wire wasn't present. I think that was working up until last night. For some reason, when I turned the machine on, it was using the wireless connection rather than the wired. I shut the wireless card off hoping that it would just switch to the wired. No such luck. For some reason, it caused me to be completely unable to connect to anything from either machine, wired or not.

I've tried restarting both machines, resetting the router, powering off and back on the router, IP release doesn't give me any errors (although neither machine has an IP, wired or not), IP renew times out. I can't connect to the router admin stuff because neither machine will connect to 192.168.0.1.

I've tried everything I can think of short of plugging the router uplink directly into my laptop and moving the router to a different location and plugging it into a different port on the downstairs router and I will be trying both of those things as soon as I get showered.

Thanks for any help that anyone might be able to give. I'm a newb but I've tried everything I can think of with no luck. Hopefully someone here has some more things I can try.

Edit: I just moved the uplink directly to my laptop and it works. So the problem is the router itself, but I have no ideas what.

Update... Well, I've got it working wired. But something isn't working with the wireless. The router either isn't broadcasting the network even though it's configured to do so or my wireless card isn't seeing.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled my wireless card and it's still saying "media disconnected"
