Here's the scoop. I bought a 200 GB HDD, a 512 MB flash drive, and a modem during the recent Staples promotion. While I was purchasing these items online, I apparently failed to notice that near each item, there were instructions to "enter copuipn code XXXXX at checkout". Very unlike me to miss the obvious... So now, I am stuck with these items at warm prices since I do get back some cash through the EasyRebates program.
My options:
* Return everything and try again when they next have a sale... The HDD and flash drive were for my mom; she doesn't need them urgently, but does want them. The modem (supposed to be free after rebate) was just to put the total over $150 so I could get a free duffel bag.
* Return and rebuy, since today is the last day of the sale. Problem is that the HDD is out of stock.
* Eat the loss (~$40) and call it a day since the time spent boxing and returning the stuff I could make that money through some extra work.
What would you do?
