MessageApp error message on WinXP shutdown, tried Googling, no useful info. Anyone please help?

Hi there.

whenever i shutdown WindowsXP, this small pop up window comes up to say that there's some MessageApp error, and i have to choose "End" in order for the shutdown to proceed.

it hasn't done much damage, to be honest, but want to understand what it is and clean up my system a bit and reduce possibilities of future complications.

Anyone know about this?
