Hello, I need your help again. I recently installed Nero 5.5 on my computer and it made my two CD-Roms disappear. Now, the two devices won't function. The computer can recognize them, but there are two yellow exclamation marks (In Device Manager) saying that: your registry might be corrupted (Code 19). I have tried unplugging the device, uninstalling it, reboot, but it still doesn't solve anything. My last resort is to reinstall the whole OS. It's a very painful process, you are my last hope. Please help. 😱)

hmm.. thats a tricky one. All i can suggest is that you delete Nero, and then manually access your registry and delete all traces left of Nero.

the registry can be accessed under the Start menu, and then run. In the blank type "regedit" (without the quotes) where to find the nero registry files is your problem

That actually was the first thing that I did, uninstalling Nero. It didn't help. I have not messed around with my Windows Registry. Kinda scared to, so maybe as a next to last alternative? Heh heh, thanks anyhow.
