Solved! Mesh with 3 Wired Connections in One Location

I would like to have 3 wired connections in my home office and a mesh system throughout my 3-story house (about 3500 sq ft). The office also contains my modem, which is rated for 600 mbps. Given that most mesh devices have only 2 ethernet ports, how should I connect the three wired devices in the office? Am I correct that I should connect a switch to a mesh router connected to the modem? If that is correct, what specs do I need to look for when selecting the switch?

It seems you have the general idea:

Modem <> Router (WAN port) <> switch for additional ports

The switch you need depends on what you want. I would recommend an 8 port unmanaged switch for a basic user, no fuss PnP setup, that will get you 7 additional LAN ports.

For what it's work, I second ch33zw1z. You're on the right track and since you had to ask, definately keep it simple (unmanaged switch)
