It's not an unusual version of the song at all, except for the pretty girl with the pretty voice who didn't change the arrangement one damn bit and just rode on in on the coattails of Leonard Cohen who, you know, was the transcendent poet who wrote the damn thing.

What say we give the poet his due?

It’s been several years since I heard the song…or paid attention to it anyway…so, for whatever reason, I thought she had…modified the lyrics…but, nope. She sang it as written. Still heavenly voice.
