good. recessions are a normal part of economic progress

Part of the "progress" that comes about if your goal is to eradicate the middle and lower-middle classes.

When you consider how global labor arbitrage is transforming this country, you might realize that a depression began years ago but that it's been masked by the housing market and credit card spending.

Are you ready to join the third world?

Yeah, I could use a bump in my standard of living. Which country should I move to? ;)

I can't decide. Iceland and Greenland both look pretty good, but I need more then a 10% bump.

In other news they said on the radio that Goldman Sachs is also calling for a recession.

I just got a job offer for a 35% raise today :) Perfect timing again, right before a recession. I got my current job in fall of 2000 right before tech bubble burst. :D

lucky bastard. you must be one of thoseleading indicators.

Hey I started a job last month that gave me a 30% raise :D

I'm starting a job in a month that is a 25% raise with a doubling of my bonus (so potential 40% raise). see my e-peener? ;)

I have to move to get it, but that's covered also...

Well done. Merrill called it early (compared to other big names) and got it right.

Is it just me, or have other people also noticed a number of Zombie threads, resurrected from the ground, masquerading as recent, active threads lately?
