I noticed that at my aunts house, her entire component shelf was powered with Meridian equipment, and I know that they're considered very high-end, but is this just another Bose? I'm guessing they have high quality stuff, but is their price tag worth it?

Meridian is the real sh!t. The Meridian 808 is one of the best CD player/transport on the market. A few of the nuts over head-fi has this as their primary source.

It's...dreamy stuff. New in-walls too, with separate electronics for the active ones.

Hate their look, but lordy does their stuff sound good.

Oh God does it sound fantastic. If only I had a couple of grand to drop on one of their players. Mmmmm.... G08....

Oh, haha :p. I never actually got a chance to listen to it :(. They had everything hooked up to a 50" Panny plasma controlled by an AMX remote...but for some reason, the TV sound was coming out of the TV (for at least TV...keep in mind they don't have HD yet), and I didn't try watching a DVD or anything. It's possible it wasn't completely set up, since they just moved in recently.

Haha, here is a tour of the house. It's a 20 minute video of me and my brother (yeah, I'm the younger one. If you're up for a laugh, go to 13:30 in, and watch me break the 42" plasma in the living room :). 21 minutes in starts their "TV room" where all the equpment is. Too bad the equpment rack is too dark to see anything :(.

Haha, I'm watching this video again, and it deserves a new thread. Off I go :p.
