Merging two hard disk partitions, is it possible?

Hi guys,

My laptop came with two seperate partitions, one contained a copy of all of my drivers and everything. Since then I've formatted that drive, and I was wondering if there was anyway I could merge the two partitions without having to format both.

Thanks,

Ryan

Partitionmagic lets you do this kind of stuff, but it's not the cheapest program. There may be some other software that lets you do it as well, but having a copy of partitionmagic around has been a good investment.

Or you can delete the drive letter (if you want to see only C:) and mount the second partition on an empty directory. Of course, this will work if you have NTFS.

I've lost count of the times i've used Partition Magic - it's definitely worth having around

I used to be a proponent of PM until I tried Partition Commander. You can't go wrong with P/Cmdr!
