how do i do it? it sounds so simple yet i can't figure it out! i'm trying to merge two columns into one w/a space between the content. so if column one has "john" and column two has "david", i'm trying to merge them to say "john david" in one column.

you know i dont think there is such a feature, try the help in office, but i just tried it and had no luck, if you find out, i would love to know too.

under functions, use the 'concatenate' formula which is under text options. to get a space between the two columns, type in " "
