While there is still a distinction between the two this is not a gaming site in general and hence IMO can't sustain there being two separate forums. Also increasingly games are being released across multiple platforms, PC and console. If I want to talk about Modern Warfare 3 do I post in PC or console gaming? What about if I want to ask about gaming in general (Do you like single or multilayer games), do I post this in PC or console gaming? Having the two split unnecessarily splits the audience.

LOL wut?

Disclaimer: I only play PC games, so my POV is purely form PC gaming forum.

Seriously though; I agree that there are a lot of games that are multi platform, but there is a significant distinction between consoles and PC's even for the same titles.

For the games you play on PC go to PCG, for consoles visit the CG.

If you are playing the same game on both PC and console.. you need to get a life. 😛

Post in whichever one you play the game on. If you play on PC, post in PC gaming forum. If you play on a console, post in the console forum. If you play the same game on PC and console, get a life.

Seriously, though, I only game on PC, and I have no desire to visit a forum that is going to be cluttered with tons of posts about console gaming. I say keep them separated. If it ain't broke...don't "fix" it

To be honest, it's not a terrible idea. I certainly get why you want to do it, and having a single thread for fringe multiplatform games would likely help.

With that said, I'm still going to have to decline. The mayhem of having both in a single forum would outweigh the benefits.

It was already merged. Assloads of arguments.
And multi-platform means nothing.
You post for the platform you have. You got the PS3 version? Guess what?
Thats the version you wanna talk about, whether you realize it or not.
