Merge Partitions?

When I originally setup my Primary drive, I split off a logical drive.
So I have C and D.

Is there anyway to merge this back together as one drive without disturbing the data?
If not, is there some way to wipe out the D contents to get this back as one partition without disturbing the data on C?

You could use partition magic but I would highly recommend backing up anything important. Is it possible to copy everything needed from D: to C:? That would make it easier to do.

Yes, I can copy everything from D to C or delete the D contents all together if needed.
BTW, running Windows XP Pro.

Partition Magic.

I've had a failure before. I convered a Linux drive into Fat 32 and my large 30 gb partition and became unallocated space. I converted to Fat 32 again but obviously I lost all data. Had to buy a temp HD to use drive recovery.

I'm not saying PM is bad, but in general all our disks have some errors and have gone through wear and tear. Your partition tables wont' be in the best shape after some use.

So, I recommend that you backup EVERYTHING. I say even better, just back it up and wipe the drive.

But I guess you know you can do that already, so PM is the way to go if you want your data intact still.
