mercedes phone

does anyone have experience with the phones that come in mercedes? i just bought a used mercedes, and the phone is not activated... i was wondering how to activate it, and if anyone knew the pricing? i was really hoping to hook it up through my regular cell company and use the same number... is this possible?

This is one for the local MB dealer. It will likely depend on the model and age, but with the number of competing cell platforms it would be dumb luck if your car happened to be compatible with your cell provider.

have a friend who owns 2003 mercedes and she just signed up with a cell phone company of her choice not sure if that is true for the older models.

chances are its an analog phone, so you should be able to activate it anywhere

thats what im hopin.... its a 2001, so not too old

yeah...as of right now most manufacturers are still using analog phones to allow you to activate it with the provider you chose. Rumor has it that with more phones being bluetooth enabled, that will change very soon.
