I got caught up in this Mercata/MSN madness along with many of you. Registered at Mercata for the first time and spent all of my $100 on a digital camera that I don't really need, but what the heck, it's all just plastic isn't it? Mercata's prices seemed to me to be rather high for the starting point, so I searched a little further. SOMEof the prices at MPSuperstore come close to the Mercata final price, even with MP's ridiculous shipping costs.
MPSuperstore:
Kodak 4800: $605 - $121 (MSN 20%) + $37 shipping = $521 At Mercata = $512.
Nikon 800: $440 - $88 - $75 rebate + $28 shipping = $305.
Nikon 880: $625 - $125 + 32 shipping = $532.
Nikon 950: $660 - $132 - $150 rebate + $37 shipping = $415.
Not the absolute best prices, but close if your Mercata bucks are gone. Have not checked other things out at this site.
