Mercata Electronics Clearance!

Personally I like the Flat Screen 27" TV. That is a very good deal. Also Sony Portable MiniDisc Player/Recorder, MZ-R37SP is good price too..I found it on PriceGrabberto be $169.99 the cheapest and they have it for $139.47. It's a great gift! They also have CD wallets and Ricoh Digital Camera w/1792 x 1200 Resolution, RDC5000.

I had the sony r37 md recorder and it is a piece of junk....IMHO you're better off paying a little extra cash and getting the sharp 722 for only $164

The 27" TV is a Zenith. Pure, unadulterated JUNK. TV's are what I do, so this is not just an opinion from another unhappy customer, but from a tech that services these sets on a daily basis. This rates right down there with RCA and GE's. Honestly, if it was $150, I would still say run from this. If a quality bargin TV is what you want, get a Sharp.

The 2.3 megapixel Ricoh camera looks like a great deal. I wish I could afford it to replace my Ricoh RDC300Z. The Ricoh's are the best you can get for closeups, and also uses an optical Zoom for great distance shots.

I found a 27" zenith about 4 years ago at a good price and bought it. I actually expected it to break and it has proved to be an excellent T.V. by not breaking. The picture compares to some of the Sonys in my house. Just informing that all Zeniths don't sucks.

This is probably the only way they'll get any kinds of sales now that they don't give away Mercata $$ or msn promo.

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but if I can save someone some money by preventing them from making a HUGE mistake, I will try.

Sorry, but as I said, Zenith's SUCK! However, just like Sony and JVC can make an occasional lemon, Zenith can make an "occasional" working TV. There main problem since about 1992 through today, is bad Picture tubes. Even the replacement Picture tubes had the same problems. They short out intermittantly, which in turn blows out the main board in the set. Thinking the TV just needs a main board, a repair center spends the $85 on a remanufactured board, and charges the customer $165 Parts and Labor. Within a week to a month, same thing happens again. These sets were very inexpensive, and many bars and hotels bought a ton of them. This led to ton's of sets coming in for the same repairs. Soon, rebuilders stopped remanufacturing these boards, as the return rate was well over 70% under warranty. This left only Zenith original remanufactured parts left. They too met the same fate, over 70% returns and this caused Zenith to declare Bankrupcty about 2 to 3 years ago. All Zenith parts distributors were closed down. Eventually, Capehart or Goldstar (I forget which one), bought out Zenith, kept the Zenith name going, but left the Zenith parts division closed. Today, there is starting to be a trickle of parts coming out of Zenith, but the main problem still exists. Zenith brand uses crap CRT's.

BTW, many think of Zenith as the last company to make sets in the US. That is totally false. In reality, they were one of the first to leave the US, with most of the parts (95%) coming from Mexico, all the way back to the mid 1970's.

$400 for the ricoh is a bit much, you can get a coolpix 800/950 , and considering how big th ricoh is, its just not that great (its like 5.4 inches long, pretty big camera, not that great a zoom, and its heavy) . The vcr looks good, and for a second there i thought that tv was a wega ...., does it really look like that? looks like a total knockoff, but hey if it performs right..
