So what's your opinion of Mensa? Are you in it? Do you feel left out if you're not?

I used to be in it, but I let my membership run out. It just seems like a status symbol of a God-given talent... it's not fair at all. I oppose such aristocracy.
 
well the difference between the mensa talent and traditional aristocracy is that the mensa talent is actually as close to god-given as anything could be, while the aristocracy only claims to be there due to god's will.

Dude, my parents wanted me in it to put it on a resume (hoping it would say something that my GPA can't), but I know now it's a waste.

besides the resume part, what esle does one get out of being in the club?
 
Mensa is not even very exclusive. 2% of the population can get in, so thats way over 100 million people out of the whole world. Now The Giga Society is an exclusive high IQ club. Although it's kind of amusing to see that somebody with such a high IQ can have such poor web design skills, thus proving once again that IQ means nothing in the real world.
 
Find a message board or newsgroup that Mensa people populate and pick a flame war. Just to test how smart they really are (not an original idea, it happens all the time).

I done really good on all them questions, and then all them windows kept a poppin up telling me all kinds of silly things.
