Recently got the new editions of maxim & fhm magazines, and i have to say, both cover models (Nicky Hilton in Maxim & LeAnn Tweeden in FHM) look more like a drawing that a photo.

Both seem very plastic, i think the touch up artists have gone a little too far. It's fine to air brush out the stretch marks, and pimples, but not make them look like a mannequin !

Agreed. I was showing it to my wife last night actually and she also commented that it looks more like a drawing and less like a picture.

I got my Leeann Tweeden yesterday also. She either put on body-bronzer or she's really been touched up. Gorgeous still. I don't think men pay to see blemishes or discolorations when looking at skin mags... not the general population at least... so they get rid of everything.

I've used noise-filters and blurs that end up making people look more doll-like... maybe these editors are just being lazy with the same filters.

I got the latest edition of FHM over the weekend (LeAnn Tweedon on the cover) and I was thinking the exact same thing. They basically touched up her entire body, especially on the cover.

that's exactly what i toldmy wife... leann looks more like an animated character than a real person - esp on the cover.
even the celebs who get on covers (not just Maxim/FHM)... they openly comment in interviews that it doesn't look like them... and "thankfully they made me look gorgeous". To illustrate this point, I'm sure if you (yes, you) make a cover of a mag, you'd be grateful they made you look like the perfect man also.

A girl I used to date did an internship at FHM in Australia (does that compute?) and she said any picture in the magazine was the best out of about 150 pictures and then airbrushed for several hours to appear flawless...

But she could have been BSing me.

many of the chicks need it. like nicky hilton, not attractive. only famous

Yep. Her sister is even worse in that aspect, the only reason they appear in magazines is because they are famous, and they are famous because of their inheritance and how often they appear on TV and in magazines...

no, her sister looks better. with all the high resolution paparazzi shots floating on the net that show every poor and wrinkle its not hard to see which actresses are really pretty these days.

FULLY AGREED ON TWEEDEN. When I took a look at the cover I couldn't believe what was on there. I actually took a second to see if somewhere on the cover it said, Leeann Tweeden in "Final Fantasy The Spirits Within 2" or something. It doesn't even look like a real person, but a CGI character or something.
