"Men of a Certain Age" - anyone else watch it?

You know, the new Ray Romano show on TNT. I've been watching it religiously after giving the pilot a chance (never liked Everybody Loves Raymond and the show's about middle aged people, which I'm not) - it's refreshingly honest, funny, and has this sorta melancholy about it that you don't see on tv. Imagine the complete opposite of Sex and the City, which automatically means that its good 😉

I keep seeing previews and I keep meaning to watch it. Looks really good.

It is really good. Not a sitcom (which is a good thing) and mixes drama and comedy really well... And Andre Braugher is awesome in it.. Bakula too.. Hell, they're all really good in it.

Favorite line so far: (On Bakula's player character now dating a 20 year old ): "Great, looks like you'll have to watch all of the Twilight movies now." Clever show, and nicely subtle too

I've been meaning to catch it also. First started seeing previews of it at the theaters before the start of the movies

I watched an episode the other night. Kind of boring actually, not much of a plot IMO.
Will I watch it again? Hmmmmm ..... maybe, just to see if I saw a crappy episode.

It's a hard show to get in one episode, since it's more about the relationship of three men post the realization that life isn't going the way they originally intended.. I.E. it's not exciting, at all, but honest. Can't really think of a similar show, though it's similar to movies like About Schmidt, As Good as it Gets, and other mid-life coming of age movies.

I tried it but I'm at that "certain age" myself and although my life isn't too bad, I don't think I want to watch a show that just reminds me of my own existential turmoil.
