Basically, i have 8rda+, 2100+@2.3ghz (11.5 x 200), and twinmos ch-5 pc3200

Ive been running at this speed fine for like months and get no prime errors to this day but i was board and decided to test memtest86 even though i tested it 2 months ago, on pass 4 for or 5 i get error 148mb...... Restarted it. Error on like pass 6 same this. Its random though and not at same spot each time. Using all tests and cache always on. Any suggestions. BTW temps are fine. Just wanted some input on what you think even though im pretty good at ocing

It may not be happening at same pass or test but is it happening at same MB??? Any error should be taken serious. If you have ran it previously with no errors you may have damaged the ram and the lingering effects are starting to show...What vdimm are you running???

ill check all my stuff, like timings and all and get back to you. I belive its at 2.7. Ill check for more errors again and check the different ones i get. Maybe NB is heating up. Beats me. Im not worried though cause Twinmos has lifetime warrenty and its not like im ocing the 3200 since im running it at 200fsb

check this thread out

good info about memtest86 or someone's personal experience with memtest86....

btw... i don't think the ch-5 is compatible with the nforce2.... i tested two different sticks of the ch-5 on my nf7-s and kept getting errors no matter how many vdimm voltage i put into that thing...

i'm sure your board will run fine with the memory but you may get a random reboot one of these days or something... /me shrugs...

yea. I disagree and have heard this board loves the ram according to amdforums.com I also hope the ram didnt get hurt from the fsb but i doubt it.

BTW: I think my vdimm is 2.77 and vcore is 1.725. Getting 43-44c under load and 38 idle. My ram is at 7322

Sig system has PC3700 with CH-5 chips.
Runs 2/2/2/5 timings to 220MHz @ 2.77Vdimm.
Runs 2/2/2/5 timings to 222MHz @ 2.9Vdimm.
Runs 2.5/2/2/7 timings to 230MHz @ 2.9Vdimm.

With regard to NF2 memory incompatability, my more expensive TWINX 3200C2 was capped at 207MHz with 2/3/3/7 timings.

Memtest86 Test#5 (block moves) seems to be the most critical test, and it completes quickly. For quick testing, I use two passes of Test#5. I consider six passes completed with no errors as good enough.

Hope this helps!

six passes???

the guy i posted about runs test 5 for like 12-24 hours...

he's seen hours in the 1000th pass before if it's not stable...

6 isn't enough

I run all test, with cache on and run it for 10 passes complete....I have seen with my memory when I bump it up to 452mhz ddr errors in test 4 and test 8....I didn't have errors in the opther test until I pushed it to 460mhz ddr then i got errors in sevral etst like 4,5,6, and 8....

Run all test. I don't see where ppl have talked them into believing one test is the end all and the other tests are worthless...
