hey guys, i just got 2 more gigs of crucial ballistix pc6400 ram and i am getting random errors in programs and i need to test my memory. this is the first time ive had any trouble with ram and i cant figure out how to use memtest. i cant find much on it either. the sticky doesnt explain it very well. so, i burnt the iso to a cd and tried to boot but it just sat at the loading screen. i have no floppy drive but i have a usb key. thx

Did you burn it as an ISO or simply copy the file to a CD? If you just copied it, i won't boot. If you're not sure how, download this freeware program and follow the easy directions.

After you have MemTest on the CD, make sure you set the bios to boot from it and it should start automatically. Just let it run until you get errors, or until you're sure there's no problem.
