I have both memtest version and was wondering if they are equal in testing memory. I have used it within windows and gotten errors on some overclocks, but using the bootable floppy one my memory was clean?

Which one is better?

Unless it installs itself as a driver in Windows it won't be able to really test any memory, well at least it won't be able to give you reliable addresses for the memory it's testing.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think the real memtest86 or memtest86+ can even run while Windows is running...

To the OP. I use memtest86+. Download the bootable ISO, write to a CD, boot from CD and you'll be all set.
