I am building two exact twin computer, only differred by having a Raptor on one and none on another.

The config is as follows for BOTH PC:

AMD Athlon64 Venice 3000+
DFi LanParty UT SLI-D
eVGA GeForce 6800 Ultra PCI-e
2* OCZ Value VX 512MB (BH5)
RAM and BIOS setting are the same for both computers

(Western Digital Raptor 74GB)
Western Digital 2500JS 250GB 7200rpm SATAII HDD

Plextor 16x DVD Rom

Enermax Noisetaker 485W EG495P-VE SFMA
All P4, 24-pin, molex,PCI-e power slots are plugged in correctly

For an unknown reason, after downladed the memtest boot image and burnt into a CD; loading the CD on both computer. During the RAM burn-in stage, a computer would show Memtest version v1.51 while the other would show Memtest version v3.2
with the EXACT same copy of CD and EXACT HDD, BIOS, RAM configuration.

What's wrong there?
Can't find info from the readme of memtest...

The v3.2 Is the Old Memtest86 I believe
http://www.memtest86.com/

and the v1.51 Would be MemTest86+
http://www.memtest.org/

The work on different Platforms.. Why either of those machines would run the Older v3.2 I dunno

Edit In fact Memtest86 3.2 Wont even run on my machine just reboots, Whiel I can run memtest86+ 1.60 all night+

Sempron 2800+ 512mb Corsair VS

Oh is it? I don't mind which one is newer.

The fact that it was the same image file I downloaded...And burnt into the same CD Rom
Yet the two computer loaded the different versions; is bothering me...

Thanks anyway.
Any insights?

I found the problem
DFi has built in Memtest+ while my CD-Rom Memtest was the older v3.2
Sorry for the trouble

If you're using the same motherboard in both computers why does only one run the Memtest version built into the motherboard?
