what do you do if your Mushkin 512 3500 passes 99% of the extended tests before freezing at 11% on test 12?

just ran the extended memtest again on default BIOS settings and it froze up again at 11% of test 12. time to RMA this RAM?

Sounds like time to RMA. You are running at 200, and that memory is rated for 216. Mushkin was very good to me. Do you have two sticks or one ? If you only have 512 meg (one sticK) you will be out of commission for two weeks. If you have 2 sticks, try each one at a time. And what are the ram timings ? If SPD, what does it detect ?

it was running at 2-3-3-6, and i had only adjusted the CAS to 2; everything else was on auto. when i put everything on auto, it switched to 2.5-3-3-6, but still failed test 12. its rated at 2-3-3-6, so why does my asus deluxe board switch it?

see if upping teh voltage a lil bit ets it pass before you RMA it, if you bought it from them directly they might send you a stick before they have you send it to them, i know crucial does this, i just RMAd ram to them i sent it last wednsday and it came back today 8 days is pretty sweet turn around
