Try the torture test for Prime.
You can do other stuff while the tests are running, but it might get slower.
A good thing to do it let it run overnight so it doesn't interrupt anything you're doing.

YOyoYOhowsDAjello, can you please let me know how to do and (where to get) the torture test for Prime?

How long should I run Prime for? Which particular test? Can I still use the computer for normal tasks while running Prime?

prime95 is for testing memory, are you sure you are going to options>torture test? for testing the cpu you should use the top test, small ffts. but for more memory stuff, use the bottom one, blend. for just memory though, you should be using memtest only. just start it before you go to bed.

I don't see where on prime95 that you can select top test, small ffts.

Options > Torture Test > select Small FFTs
