memtest lenght

I run mine for 1 hour...this is ample time to run through 1 GB of memory twice...I also use the windows version of memtest to ensure it is stable in the windows environment.

so i guess a 9 hour run is safe to say that the ram is stable

I would say so. I have 2 gigs and I like to run through it for 12 hours, but thats probably just cause i'm a nerd lol.

i had 2 gigs and just to be safe and to make it is as stable as possible, i tested it with 24hours of memtest.....you could also test with prime95's blend test for added peace of mind.

ran prime large fft's for 24 and passed and ran mem for 9hr last night and passed so i should be good to go yes? no?

technically speaking, around 5 hours of memtest is usually enough. With 9hours of memtest, it should be stable...but each person has their own opinion of stability and peace of mind. With you think it's enough, then go for it. Just be aware of any sudden crashes/reboots that's not related to softwares.
