Memtest hardware compatibility?

Nocturnal

I have the KB connected via USB as thats the only way I can use it. I can get into BIOS and move around in there. All the settings for the USB things are on. However when I boot into Memtest, I can't choose the test I want to select. Nothing works, not even ESC. Has anyone heard anything like this happening?

Sounds like your USB keyboard will not work in ANY DOS application. Are you sure full USB support for OS (and not just BIOS) is enabled on your system?

I think you might have quoted the wrong post MS 😉 Sounds like this was posted in OT and somehow ended up here 😛

Well update, I can use the keyboard but I have to hit C very quick as soon as it starts up otherwise after that I'm unable to choose any options or even hit ESC to reboot. Any other ideas?

I've never heard of having to hit a certain key to enable your keyboard. Check your BIOS settings again for a key activation.

In Memtest, if you want to choose a specific test, you hit C. If you run Memtest, you'll see at the very bottom options such as something about hitting C to select test, ESC to reboot, those are all available options.

I can do it once if I hit C as soon as Memtest starts. After that, I'm unable to do so. Thanks.

Try a new copy of Memtest, because it isn't a BIOS or hardware problem.

I tried three different disks all burnt at different times. Two were on the same media and the third was on a different media.
