i've set my dram speed to 200mhz in my genie bios
cas to 2
trcd to 3
trp to 2
tras to 5
Dram voltage 2.6

i let memtest run from about 1am-10am (9 hours). i still got errors not many but i think like 7?
i dont know.. is this normal? or am i supposed to get 0, if i am, what can i do to achieve that?

What memory are you using, is it what's in your sig file? If so, you don't say which PC3200 OCZ Platinum you have. Some are 2.6v, some are 2.75v with EVP up to 2.8v, and some are 2.75v with EVP up to 3v. Just about any good name brand performance RAM can handle up to 3v and usually works better at 3v except for some Crucial Ballistix types. This is assuming your timings are set to what's recommended for the memory.

So bump up the voltages before you RMA it. I've seen hundreds of MemTest errors at 2.5-2.6v, and NONE at 2.85-3v, and this is with the SAME RAM. This is even without o'clocking.

computer, so should i set the timings to 2-3-2-5 as stated by ocz or let the dfi genie bios do it and leave it on auto? after u reply to this i'll change the voltage from current 2.6 to 2.8 and yes the rig is in the sig

Well I still don't know which OCZ memory you're using. Like I said, they have several different PC3200 Platinum with different voltages.

The SPD module rarely actually works as it should, so it's always a good idea to manually set the timings to what OCZ (or whomever makes memory) recommends.

Check where the memory error occur, i just bough twinmos 2 * 512 mg sticks, and one of the stick gave errors in EXACTLY the same location, so had to return them, i guess i wont buy twinmos again 😛.

Did you return to the vendor or TwinMos? It's better to RMA them to the manufacturer because many times they will "hand pick" your replacements and they'll even o'clock much more, but at the least they'd be error-free. If you return to the vendor, the same thing could happen again.

I returned my first set of Geil 2x256 PC4000 Ultra Platinum (DDR500) back to Geil because they would not o'clock a single mhz, and due to errors. What they sent me I've never seen matched by any other PC4000 kit, they'd do DDR562 totally error-free and stable!

I have the same ram as you (assuming you have the EL edition) on my EPOX motherboard. I have been trying to fix the same issue you are having. Im sending in my ram monday.

yea but if i send it into ocz... i wont have ram to use for however long it takes them to send me new ones..i dont really wanna wit 2 weeks or so

Contact SteveOCZ or RyderOCZ on these forums and they'll take care of you. OCZ's RMA turnaround time is awesome so you won't be without RAM for long.

if... during normal gaming/computing usage i dont feel any errors or slow downs, but when i run memtest i do get errors, it it a big deal? can i just keep it?

Hardly awesome - been waiting two days now for my RMA request to be granted.

Going on almost a month of not being able to use my PC because of this ram problem.

There's more to timings than 2.5-3-8-8 or whatever. There are subroutine timings like PATA and others that affect how far you can go as well.

NEVER allow a mommaboard to automatically set timings. Set everything manually.

Try up to 2.8 volts. Also, what mommaboard and RAM slots are all the RAM going into? Any other RAM cards running besides these two in that mommaboard? What power supply do you run? Brand and model on that answer please! What case temeratures are you dealing with?

id back the timings off a bit and try. If that works then leave it as is because the tighter timings dont do much. If it still errors definately RMA because its not running properly. OR try www.goldmemory.cz and use their test

I really hope that you don't count Saturday and Sunday as your "2 days".

the rig is exactly as in the signature. so you're saying i should raise my DRAM voltage to 2.8? just to run at 200mhz 2-3-2-5?

Good RAM should work at stock voltage and settings. If you have to bump more than 0.1V, then it is DEFECTIVE. DO NOT settle for marginal RAM. It will get worse with time. My cheap Corsair Value Select is rated at 2.5-3-3-8. I have no problem running 243MHz at 2.5-3-3-6-1T at stock voltage. Actually all the value RAMs from Kingston and Corsair have always delivered at least 217MHz with 2.5-3-3-8-1T timing and stock voltage.

The worst value RAM that I've come across this the ULTRA 1GB. Barely hits 208MHz at 3-3-3-8-1T.
