I bought a used stick of Nanya ram knowing it was bad ,hey 512mb of DDR for $10 I thought maybe I could repair a bad solder joint or something. Any how both these tests show massive (I think) failures. Memtest is the only one I really ran for anylength of time and it passed it with lots of errors, but i'm not familiar with the break-out of the different tests so how bad can this really be?

I don't use the computer it's in right now for anything but some gamming, websurfing and some music downloads (whose days are numbered anyway's). How bad could this really be for the application it's used in? And is there a chip on-board that I could remove to dissable one-side of the ram to try it at 256mb and if it showed errors,re-connect and try the other 256mb?
