I?m getting a 90nm 3500+ and Neo 2 with the intent of overclocking and I?m wondering about the memory. Would it be better to get PC3200 with lower latencies or faster memory with slower timings (so the memory and FSB are 1:1)? It seems some people have been able to get higher FSBs using PC3200, but also at a lower multiplier.
I have some PC4200 now that I run at 3-4-4-8 in another system so if I purchased low latency PC3200 I could compare the two and see which is better? but I?d like to avoid that hassle if possible. So if anyone knows if there is a clear cut better/best, I'd be most appreciative if you'd help me out.
