Memory Voltage, Stability, and Timing Questions

A few questions.

I just got a kit of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231445

It's rated for DDR3-1600 8-8-8-24 2T @1.5v. Currently I am running them at DDR3-1600 7-8-7-24 1T @ 1.568 volts and it seems stable. Just wondering if this is a safe voltage for the memory and what is the max safe voltage for DDR3 on a P67 platform (ASUS P8P67 Pro + 2600k @ 4.6).

Why is it that most current DDR3 modules are rated for 2T? Doesn't 1T offer better performance? Is there any reason to run 2T over 1T?

I am using IBT extreme, Prime95 Blend, and Memtest86 for memory stability, any other better options?
