Memory Upgrade in laptop

Hello,
I have bought a new IBM thinkpad R51 laptop with 256MB RAM.

I realised later that the RAM is not enough for games and graphics and i plan to add 512mb Ram

I wanted to know is there is any issue if i have 512MB installed through the optional Memory slot behind the laptop, which is higher than the pre-installed 256MB ram

Also, What should be the page size for 256+512MB Ram configuration for the best performance

Hi dilipr & Welcome to the Forums!

Not sure if I understand your concern. If it helps, I have a Toshiba that came with 128MB and I have installed an extra 256MB (max allowed). Runs fine. Just installed and booted.
