memory upgrade for Abit BD7

The BD7 has 2 sockets, which support up to 2GB ram.

Right now, I have two 256mb sticks. I believe they are both PC2100.

I would like to replace one with a 1 GB stick. Is it okay to use a 1GB stick and a 256mb stick together?

Also, what if the 1GB stick is PC2700 or PC3200?

I am looking to get the Kingston KVR266X64C25. It would be nice to combine it with some of the RAM I already have rather than letting the 256mb sticks go to waste
