memory type for a sis530

I was going to look through the crucial memory finder, but I dunno what the manufacturer of the board is (it just said SIS 530/5595 on it). Other bits I seen were megatrends, amibios, vicom, ite... that was about it.

Any ideas how to know what make this is and what type of memory it requires?

Thanks

I believe the 530 was a socket7 chipset that took standard 168 pin SDRAM DIMMS. As far as the frequency required for the memory, it depends, since Pentiums and K6-2's had different bus speeds. Any PC-100 memory is a safe bet. PC-133 modules might work, but not guaranteed to be compatible with your motherboard.
