I've dialed in a modest overclock on my new IP35/Q6600 rig, running 3.4ghz at 378x9. Now I'm tuning my memory, Patriot Extreme DDR 800 (LLK) using Sandra bandwidth and latency scores.
At 1:1, DDR756, it can run 3,4,4,10 1T. Bandwidth is >6700 and latency is 81ns.
At 1:1.20, DDR 908, it runs 4,5,5,12 2T. Bandwidth is >7100 and latency is 73ns.
Bumping the Vdimm past 2.2 doesn't get me anywhere. All voltage settings are default except for Vcore. Lowering any of the above timings generates errors in Prime or MemTest. I'm using the beta 13 bios.
Seems like I'm better off at 1:1.20. I don't know much about tweaking sub-timings, though I did lower tRFC from the default 42 to 35 based on a recommendation from another Patriot user. I'm attaching a MemSet readout to see if anyone has any additional suggestions or wants to post Sandra memory scores for comparison.
Teach me, masters.
