Hi guys,
I went and bought some expensive Kingston Hyper X memory (1 x 1 gig) as a 'final' memory upgrade for my X2 4800+. It is supposed to be CL2 2-3-2-6-1 memory.
I have finally figured out most of the numbers and can say that my BIOS does not pick it up as those. CPU-Z gives me the following timings which I think are in the same order 3.0-4-4-9 with a command rate of 2T. The memory is running at 216MHz. I have installed WC and have managed to get the frequesncy up to 2806MHz from 2400MHz.
I have read in other forums that 2T timings for and AMD64 are not so good.
Some questions.
1. How is the command rate worked out?
2. How do I get it to 1T?
3. Are the above ratings that bad?
4. How do I 'tighten' the timings as I have seen mentioned?
Any help will be most appreciated.
