memory timings

My memory is rated at 2.3.2.5 but i have it at 2.3.2.6 I heard that 6 is good for athlon for stability reasons. Is this true? Or should I change it to 5?

I have never heard that before. I would change it to 5, you may have heard that 6 is more stable for overclocking reasons, but unless you overclock I wouldn't touch my stock memory timings at all.

I've heard that some boards prefer longer timings on the last variable, the A8N32 for example is supposed to perform best with 7 or 8 according to the review here.
