Can someone please explain to me how the memory timings work, like whats the most hard core, whats most stable, whats good, is there a speed that the memory cant do at its rated speed?? And so on ect, please explain to me!
😉 Don't be disheartened OR pay over the odds for RAM capable of fast timings as the diff between very slow timings (2.5-3-3-7) and very fast timings (2.0-2-2-5) is only about 2% on average! These timings basicly refer to latency which is effectively the time spent waiting, hence lower latency (lower numbers) means less time spent waiting for the RAM to refresh.
Many makers of quality ram are also very conservative with their advertised latency ratings, so don't be taken in by ads claiming to be CAS2 for very cheap prices. You're better off with known brands, most of the time they are fully capable of running faster than the advertised latency!
