Memory timings vs. Memory Speed vs. CPU speed

I read the overclocking post above. I am poised to overcook my processor.

I have OCZ Platinum Rev 2 DDR400. I know it will do 2-2-2 at DDR400. I also read in the OCZ post that there is the possibility of it doing 2.5-3-3 and hitting DDR550.

I know my processor and board will run 2750 and 275 respectively. Do I lower my timings to run the RAM as close to 1:1 as I can, or am I happy with running the tight timings at a lower speed?

Benefits of tighter settings: ur cpu can run slightly slower, means not gona get as hot and u can turn down the fan speed so less noise, also it is possible it will b more stable. But to b sure u need to do some testing on both setups with game/3dmark/cpu testing utilities

cpu mhz is most important..max ram speedwith a divider and run at 2750
