If it is value RAM, I boubt you can do much with those timings. Trying to lower them will probably just cause the RAM to either be very unstable or even cause the PC not to post. Who manufactures the actualy DIMMs?
If the defaults are 2.5,3,3,8 then you probably won't be able to get the RAM to run any faster with stability. So I'd suggest you leave it alone.
People usually modify the timings when overclocking. In that case they would loosen the timings (raise the values) to get better stability when the RAM is running faster.
