Memory Timings for P965

I am looking at purchasing an new Core2 system with a P965 chipset.

Both the Intel Specification and all the motherboards listed at N**egg say:

Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets

Can you run 4-4-4-12 memory on a 965? Is this motherboard specific?

Yeah, you can. Plenty of 1.9 V RAM sticks work fine on this board, and you can do whatever timings the RAM will let you get away with
